I had a few important features required when shopping for new hiking boots. They had to have the following:
- Warm during winter months
- Grippy soles for most surfaces
After extensive research, I came across the Danner Mountain 600 which met all my needs. My first impressions are that they are extremely comfortable. They don't seem like they need any break in period. They have an aggressive tread that has proved to grip most surfaces, including wet rocks. Additionally, I've tested out the waterproofing with splashes of water and the water beads right off. So needless to say I'm very happy. Be sure to check them out if you are in the market for some!
